Potential RV fridge fire recall
A potential for fire in Class C motorhomes built by Triple E RV is the focus of a recall.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has acknowledged a recall by the manufacturer of over 2,000 Class C RVs. The precautionary recall is due to the potential of the refrigerator roof vent overheating the timber roof structure and catching fire. In October 2021, Triple E notified all owners of the affected motorhomes for a free retrofit.
The make, model and year of each vehicle under the recall order is listed below:
TRIPLE E LIBERO 2015-2016
TRIPLE E SERENITY 2015-2018
TRIPLE E UNITY 2015-2018
TRIPLE E RV FREE SPIRIT 2015
TRIPLE E RV WONDER 2016-2018
Happy Campers RV Repairs has been contacted by the owner of a Triple E Unity for the recall. We will contact Triple E and have the recall kit sent to us and install as per the manufacturer’s instructions. In the meantime, this customer will not use the propane setting on their RV’s fridge.
